New projects can seem rather confusing in the very beginning. You see someone promoting something, eloquent announcement texts on Facebook and LinkedIn, maybe even a website has been built, and yet, you can’t really put it together what is actually happening, if one is just trying to pull off a weird cynical comedy or if the declared journey is pursued in all seriousness and sincerity. By this time, many have pointed out to me how I’m especially good at blabbering on and on without much meaning and just being all bewildering. Good news – I have been listening! And while I’m not yet ready to drop my style of writing completely (because I personally enjoy it, and that’s the most important thing), every now and then I can say yes to producing a piece that concisely explains something, so that we can all receive some clarity. This article intends to be one of these pieces, so let’s just dive in.
What exactly is the plan here? How do I see the journey unfolding? What role does the Dragon’s Alliance have to play in all this? Let me explain:
I have a vision for society. There is this idealistic world I want to live in. This world is based upon my own dreams, it is tailored to my own wishes. I don’t even need to introduce the details here because the essence of this idealistic place is that it allows for you to do the same. To come up with your own dreams and realize them in this reality. The vision is this flexible society where instead of following one person’s dream with the rest only falling in line to adjust to it, we have an encouraging world where all dream realities are pursued simultaneously. In this place, every single idea is regarded as an achievable possibility. This is the Dragon’s Alliance’s philosophy. On the “Fundamentals” page you can read the declaration which encapsulates the essence of this thinking, and being the optimistic person I’m, I believe every word of it.
The very final goal is the creation of this idealistic reality. That’s where the Dragon’s Alliance is heading, that’s the main product/good effect it would like to create. But what are the steps to be taken along the way, how do we achieve this?
It all starts here, with the thorough introduction of the overarching dream because it is of paramount importance that no misinterpretation is made. A world that is based upon our dreams in a way that we can all be happy? A place where no one oversteps boundaries, and yet those boundaries are not constraining? That’s a game which will need some rules so that we can play it successfully. Certain things will have to be explained, certain scenarios demonstrated, so that we don’t just end up with a dream that glows in the concept stage while in reality it’s corrupted, but which stays the same as it is being implemented. It’s a narrow path we are going after here because we can already see from today’s reality how one person’s liberty could easily mean the restricting of many.
Therefore, it all begins with the laying down of the foundations upon which we can build. In practical terms, this means a series of articles, podcast episodes, videos, and all sorts of ways through which the fundamentals can be explained and the mentality of the Dragon’s Alliance can be demonstrated. This very first, sort of introductory, stage is intended to provide answers to all questions that could potentially be raised and simultaneously build a community of people who come to agree with and see promise in the explained philosophy. That being the case, it is worth noting already, even before there would be a specific article delving deeper into it, how the story unfolding here is not a one-person journey, just a series of content meant to be seen, but the idea is that as more and more content is being released, the story of the Dragon’s Alliance will reach those spirits who will embrace this mentality and who will therefore reach out to me to contribute to the gig and become part of the community. Because that’s the very final goal, right? A world that resembles everyone’s dreams, and that can only be reached if we are proactive, if we are ready to participate in the creation of it.
In light of this, the Dragon’s Alliance cannot just forever stay in the talking phase. It will need to become more than just a platform introducing a mentality, and it will have to evolve into a meeting space where all those who would like to participate in pursuing idealistic dreams can come together to build something as they cooperate. That’s the mission Cithadel seeks, an online platform that is to be built with the mentality of the Dragon’s Alliance entrenched in its DNA. It is for this very reason that it’s not yet finished, ready to be unleashed, because for this networking & collaborative project-building platform to stay true to what it tries to achieve, it in itself will have to be the result of mission-driven creators collaborating. Therefore, the plan is that through the community that has come together around the Dragon’s Alliance’s philosophy, as the first big, shared project, Cithadel will be built to provide a platform where all other projects driven by this ideal-seeking mentality can be created in the conducive environment of an encouraging community.
It is at this stage that things get truly exciting because it will no longer be just one person writing or talking, but we will finally be in the “time to get creative” phase where whatever we would like to see in this world to take place will be translated into projects to be actually achieved. The Dragon’s Alliance is intended to become a story that resembles everyone’s wishes, and therefore what comes next, what projects will be built based upon what dreams, is something I can’t predict because it’s not for one person to say. But if I managed to do a great job in the beginning, if I managed to convey the right spirit and mentality, then the world which we will move onto creating once Cithadel.com (or a platform with any possible names but the Dragon’s Alliance’s DNA) has been established will be one where there’s no external, and therefore often internalized, pressure on people to do things in certain ways, and instead, we can truly be pursuing activities and realizing dreams which we ourselves deem fit.
When this website is published and I talk of a grand dream I want to achieve, this is what I mean. The creation of a world that lets you be, that encourages you to dream big when thinking of what you want to achieve and who you want to be. It’s actually a rather simple journey, at least that’s what I think. I start with introducing a mentality. I write, I talk, and I press publish. You show up here, you watch and read, and hopefully you resonate with the spirit and decide to get on board to shape it. Together, we create a scalable platform where more and more people can join the gig and become proactive, and then projects after projects we redesign our reality so that it can better fit our dreams.
